Diaper Covers Diaper Covers are used to provide the waterproof barrier for any diaper that does not have a waterproof layer built in such as fitteds, prefolds, flats or contour diapers.
We recommend that you have 4-6 covers in your diaper stash. Covers can be hung to dry and re-used throughout the day as long as they have not had any 'solids' come in contact with them. So by rotating through 2 covers a day, 4-6 covers will typically last 2-3 days. At the end of the day the 2 used covers go into my diaper pail and I start the next day out with 2 fresh covers.
